Today I’d like to give you a lesson in how to make more sales. As a business owner, you want to know how to make more sales, and do it now. You can add simple principles to your sales business to increase your number of sales, even during the time of year that it’s a little bit tougher to make sales.

I’d like to start my lesson today with a scenario. Recently, I took my 2 boys to see a movie, and the theater was nearly sold out. There weren’t 3 seats together, so I had to go and ask a few people if they could move over one seat so that I could sit with my boys. All those I asked were gracious, and me and my sons were able to enjoy the movie together.

This, my friends, is the key to life, and the key to winning in life. There are many circumstances where an opportunity is right there in front of you, but all you can see is doubt and the worry of being let down. How does this apply to sales? It’s called low hanging fruit. If you are stuck right now, in the middle of November nearing the end of the year, you are likely seeing a decrease in sales, as they drop every year across the board in November and December. So, who are the low hanging fruits? Well, first we have qualified clients. These are people that are qualified and ready to go, you just haven’t been on top of them. Some other low-hanging fruit are your past clients and your centers of influence. These are people that already know, like and respect you. Pick up the phone, give them a call, and ask them if they know anyone who wants to buy or sell a home.

Expired listings and for sale by owner listings are also low hanging fruit. When the opportunity presents itself to grab on to tone of these, you have got to take advantage of it. This will help you start building momentum for next year right now.

There are 2 key things I teach everyone who follows us. Number one is being a great leader. That’s what people are looking for in an agent and that is how you grow your business. The second thing we teach is being a great teacher. Someone who is able to teach people and educate them about what they need to do and why they need to do it.

Put these things into practice and you will see results. There are people out there waiting on you to give them a nudge, and if you do so, you both will benefit.
